Good Morning everyone! Hope all is well! I was surfing around the files of my computer and I found some old pictures! These are mostly from Culinary School. Enjoy!

This was my marzipan project.

On the top is an abstract sugar piece, and right below it is a pastillage project. These were both difficult because both materials are extremely fragile and you must take a great deal of care in working with them.

These cakes have always been my favorite. They're colorful, fun, and target children. Children's items are my favorite to do! Not to mention this cake was Chocolate with Peanut Butter Buttercream, with chunks of Reese's Peanut Butter cups! YUM!

The Bear cake was a school project but could easily be used as a baby's birthday cake.

Happy Thanksgiving! Book Cake.

More Thanksgiving with Tom the Turkey!

Buttercream Animal Cupcakes

Framboise (Raspberry) Cake

A Fruity Tart with pastry cream!

Strawberry Shortcake

German Chocolate Cake

Happy Holidays Cake!

So thats pretty much it for now. The next post will most likely be the few wedding cakes I've done. I'm trying to locate those on my computer! Have a great day! Always remember...

Business... and Pictures!!

Good Afternoon Everyone! Here is my second post, and I am finally ready to put up a few pictures! Hope all is well!

I'm super excited! We've created some business cards, and it's starting to really come along. I have a couple orders for March, and some for the summer already!

Ahh yes...Animal Cupcake Day. This was a trial day for my mom and me. We just took a saturday to try stuff out and see how we liked it! Some of them turned out great!

These precious little Penguins and Snowmen were for my sister's classroom... and how my business is picking up. Parents and teachers LOVED them. They were fun... and easy too!

Oh BOY! This was SO much fun. I made this for the superbowl party I went to, and originally I was feeling extreemly lazy and was only going to bring a plain iced cake just so there would be some kind of dessert there. Well, I should've known us better... my mom and I got WAY into it and it turned out really great! I'm super proud of the Cardinal's helmet. I never painted anything in my life... except maybe by numbers... and I did this FREEHAND! yeah... i'm brushin off my shoulders!

Enjoy, expect more soon, and remember...

Life is short... So eat dessert FIRST! ;)

Opening!

Welcome Everyone! Today is the first day of my blog! I am going to give you an inside peek at the start of my business "Sugar Lips!" Having graduated from the Academy of Culinary Arts in Mays Landing, New Jersey, I have always wanted to start my own business! Finally!! Its happening! The word is being spread and it's really starting to move along. Of course my mother is right by my side helping me every step of the way... And boy is she GREAT! I couldn't ask for a better "assistant" =P

Soon I'll be putting up some pictures for you to see. Hopefully, you'll be inspired to get your creative juices flowing too!
